So I am a web dev currently under 2 yoe. I don’t know what this trend is but company wants you to use AI heavily. This helps them deliver quicker build quicker give wings to their employees. But I have felt it has turned me into mediocre. I remember when i sat for the interview I ddnt use AI. I wrote all the code myself. And later when I was hired the guy who was taking my interview told me that he was waiting for me to use AI so that I could do it faster. Now due to over usage and requirements of quick building Im losing my problem solving skills. I hate to write code now. Easy things I understand but then If it something to think about I would just give it to cursor or chatgpt to do. How you guys are managing this?

I can definitely relate. Cursor like products are so good that it doesn't make sense to not use it. Right now I don't feel these tools are good enough for Senior/Lead grade code so I'm still writing a good amount of code.

My advise would be to partake in as much side projects and coding events as you can.
