Impeachment motion filed against South Korean President Yoon

Opposition parties submitted a motion to impeach South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol after his declaration of martial law was blocked by lawmakers. The motion was signed by 190 opposition lawmakers and one independent law maker out of the total 300 lawmakers.

The impeachment motion requiresa two-thirds majority to pass the parliament.
